Belize Seafarers’ Certification
Belize Endorsements
In order to get you current license endorsed by Belize, you need to send to us the following documents:
All applicants
- Application
- Copy of Passport
- Passport size photo
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
- Certificate of Proficiency for Security Training
In addition – for Officer Endorsement
- Copy of current Certificate of Competency (COC) from a country listed in the “White List” of the IMO.
- Copy of other Certificate for which additional endorsement is being applied for
Provisional endorsement certificate are to be issued valid for 3 months extendable to six months, during this period the flag state shall verify the seafarer’s license and upon satisfactory completion, permanent endorsement is issued
Belize flag issues endorsements for the following documents:
- Certificate of competency (License)
- GMDSS license
- Ship security officer course
- Oil tanker specialized courses
- Gas carrier specialized courses
- COE DECK/ENGINE OFFICERS = 300 USD
- COE SSO = 300 USD
- COE GMDSS = 350 USD
- COE TANKER = 150 USD
- COE GAS CARRIER= 150 USD
** Courier charges may apply as per destination where originals to be dispatched
Belize Seaman book
In order to obtain a Belizian seaman book, you need to send to us the following docuemtns:
- Application
- Copy of Passport
- Passport size photo
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
- Certificate of Proficiency for Security Training

We process Belize seaman book within 24 hours from submitting all required docuemtns
Documents issued within the package
The following documents are issued as a whole package
- Seaman book
- STCW courses:
- Four basic training courses
- Security awareness
- Engine or Deck watchkeeping

Belize Seaman book prices
- SB for ratings (with basic and sec. awareness courses) = 850 USD
- MT book for Marine Technicians/Stewards etc. (with basic and sec. awareness courses) = 800 USD
- SB for officers (expiration date as per existing COC) = 950 USD
